There are many different problems in our world today. It is impossible to determine exactly how many, and which ones deserve the most urgent solutions. However, we can list various problems that are being considered in recent times. One of these is the situation of poverty. Some people believe that poverty only occurs in third-world countries, and within nations that are suffering from the effects of war. The truth is, though, that there are people living in "well-off" countries - such as our own Canada - that are forced to try and survive as victims of poverty.
As with all of the world's problems, a permanent solution to poverty is not entirely clear, or easily obtained. However, I believe that if the wealthier citizens of the world continue to make small sacrifices of their own, they may be able to assist in helping those less fortunate. It would not be necessary for them to give up their own well-being, only for them to go on with a little less luxury in their lives. Additionally, the leaders of countries around the world may be able to help through their governments to assist those struggling with poverty within their own borders, as well as beyond.
Obviously, a solution to poverty may be unpredictable at the moment, and seem difficult to achieve, but it would most definitely be worthwhile.
